On behalf of the Salmon River Booster Club, I would like to say a few words on the many accomplishments the Boosters have had in the past two years. First it was decided that we were to become a group that was here to stay, so with lots of paperwork completed we became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with our own by-laws and mission statement in place.

With the hard work of many individuals the boosters provided extra-curricular activities during the levy failure year with over $42,000 raised! With the support of the community in passing the last two levies, it made it possible for the boosters to focus on purchasing  more important  and fun items too as follows:

* Nine safer advanced technology Football Helmets.

* New Volleyball, & Track Uniforms

* Funded State Football Playoffs & organized the Charter Fan bus to Pocatello.

* Funded State Track to Boise the last two years.

* Provided Savage Spirit Banners  to be displayed at all sporting events.

* Purchased Athletic duffle bags for each player to use for their gear.

* Provided $1000 towards eight new Cheerleading uniforms.

* Purchased Weight Equipment for HS weight room.

* Purchased a new Camcorder & Accessories for the coaches to use under the direction of the   Athletic Director

* Established a $1000 Booster Scholarship to be awarded annually.  Congratulations again to our first year recipient, Paige Folwell.

* Provided funds to the Riggins Elementary for a 10 week “Learning thru Movement” program.

* Provided free hotdogs & buns to the Elementary students for a fun fishing day.

* Provided free hamburgers & buns to the football & volleyball athletes.

* Supported SRHS FFA (Future Farmers of America) students by purchasing a fair animal.

* Provided money for art paint & supplies for the football mural painted outside by Richelle and her students.

* Purchased more paint & supplies while several booster members provided their time and energy to paint the football bleachers, football goalposts, football score clock and built a new score shack. Then with support from the school, the old storage room out back was provided with a sink and running water. The booster club went to work cleaning, painting, installing countertops, purchasing concession equipment like freezer, barbecue, etc. and behold the “Salmon River Grill”, as painted by Richelle, was established!

* With the support of many volunteers the boosters have provided concessions at every Jr. High, JV and Varsity game. Thanks to the community support and volunteers flipping a lot of burgers our concessions this past year profited $6700.

* The boosters have also provided clothing apparel to purchase to show our Savage Pride!  At other times we have donated apparel for other community fundraisers.

* The boosters have supported our community by providing concessions in the park for the Bigwater Blowout & Septemberfest weekends. Last year the boosters donated  $400 back to the Dive Team Fundraiser.

***But, the most important accomplishment that the Salmon River Booster Club has always maintained is GREAT SUPPORT for our students, our coaches, our school and our community. Now, as we become our own school district, we couldn’t be more proud to be from Salmon River as our school buses now proudly display!

Now as I’m about to complete my year as the Booster Club President, I couldn’t be more proud of a group that has worked so hard and accomplished so much!
